The Samsung Galaxy Beam is Here – Features And Pricing Details

Remember Samsung’s Galaxy Beam, the smartphone with an internal projector? Samsung had announced the Galaxy Beam during the Mobile Web Conference 2012 held in Barcelona, Spain. The smartphone has now made its first appearance and is now available for sale in the UK.
The Samsung Galaxy Beam is powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread and comes with a built-in ultra-shiny 15 lumen projector with nHD (640×360) resolution, beaming your videos and pictures up to 50-inches in size and also creating a decent watchable experience in a low light setting.
Apart from its unique feature, the Galaxy Beam designed with a 4 inch TFT display screen, which sports resolution of 480×800 pixels. It is powered by a 1 GHz Cortex-A9 dual-core processor, and comes with a splendid 5 megapixel primary camera with auto focus and LED flash included. The secondary front facing camera is 1.3 megapixels for video calling. The device is little over 5.13oz (145g) with dimensions that makes it comfortably fit in your palm.

The Galaxy Beam comes with Samsung Touchwiz 4 UI, capable of HD (720p) video recording and playback, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and 3G connectivity. The phone comes with 768 MB RAM, 8 GB internal memory, which is expandable to up to 32 GB with a Micro SD card.
It also includes other features such as a 3.5 mm headset jack, FM Radio with RDS, built-in nHD projector, music player with SoundAlive, Swype, Document Viewer, A-GPS, Google Play Store, Samsung ChatON, Samsung Social Hub, USB 2.0, Bluetooth 3.0, up to 760 hrs of stand-by time, up to 9 hrs 40 mins of talk-time, and a 2000 mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy Beam Release & Price
The Galaxy Beam had made its first appearance in the UK market and is now selling for £395 (or nearly $615) off contract. At 12.5mm (0.5 inches), Samsung claims Beam to be the world’s thinnest projector phone, however, it still looks excessively thick, yet the device is a great buy if you’re very keen to about carrying your movies and presentations everywhere along with you.
The phone is up for pre-order in India for Rs.29,900 (approx. $555), and is expected to go on sale in mid-July.
