We have apps that allow us to play games, to keep us occupied when we’re bored and to allow us to shop for our favourite clothes more easily. We also have apps that can guide you to your required destination or to help you locate you favourite restaurant in a foreign city. With the increasing availability and popularity of smart phones and mobile broadband the world of apps is set to keep on growing, but who are the major players in the app market? Apple started off with a bang but over the last couple of years Android and Blackberry have caught up, and actually provide more free apps.
